(4) Pharmacognosy D. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.)

(Eligibility for admission is minimum of 60% marks in B. Pharm.) (Eligibility for admission is M. Pharm.) Main areas of pharmaceutical sciences covered are Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology & Toxicology and Pharmacognosy & Phytopharmaceuticals.

Major areas of research activities include Development of Analytical methods of drugs, Formulations & Standardization of Antiasthamatic, Antifertility, Immunomodulator Herbal Drugs, Development of New Drug Delivery System (NDDS), Solubility enhancement of poorly water soluble drugs and Drug-Drug Interaction and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring. Hostel accommodation for boys and girls is available. Shrimati Vasantiben Chandubhai Patel has donated resources for library building of the college.
