While establishing the educational Campus of Vallabh Vidyanagar late Pandit Omkarnath Thakur, an eminent Classical and Musicologist was invited to Vallabh Vidyanagar to introduce Music in the Sardar Patel University.

With genius efforts, Kala Kendra College of Music & Dance was started on an initial basis with the kind permission of Dr. H.M, Patel, Chairman, Charutar Vidya Mandal and was inauguarted by Yogacharya and Sangitacharya Brahmlin Shri Kripalvanandji on 30th July 1969.

The College is recognised institution by Govt. of Gujarat state education Department and has been got permanent affiliation to Sardar Patel Universitv for teaching two years Diploma and three years Degree Course in Music and Dance.
